Vivo X300 Series: Which will you choose as your next phone?

Vivo Unveils Streamlined X300 Series Flagship Lineup

Vivo has recently launched its X300 series, presenting a revised product structure. The current iteration comprises the X300 and the X300 Pro models, foregoing a standard mid-sized variant and a “Pro mini” model. While the potential for Ultra and FE models remains, the company has consolidated its flagship offerings.

The X300 Pro represents a significant evolution from its predecessor. Key improvements include the integration of the Dimensity 9500 processor, an upgrade from the Dimensity 9400. Storage performance is enhanced with UFS 4.1, succeeding UFS 4.0. The primary camera features a 1/1.28” 50MP LYT-282 sensor, replacing the 1/1.28” 50MP LYT-818 sensor in the previous generation. The telephoto lens has been updated to a 200MP HPB sensor, from the 200MP HP9 in the X200 Pro. Furthermore, the X300 Pro boasts a 6,510mAh battery, a capacity increase from the 6,000mAh battery of the original.

The vivo X300 is positioned as the successor to the X200 Pro mini, not the X200. The primary camera on this model features a 1/1.4” sensor with a 200MP resolution, contrasting with the 1/1.28” 50MP sensor of its predecessor. Without pixel binning, the sensor size constitutes a reduction (0.56µm vs. 1.22µm pixels), though binning to 50MP brings the performance in line with the X200 Pro Mini.

The X300 model (12/256GB configuration) is priced at CNY 4,400, reflecting a decrease from the X200 Pro mini’s launch price of CNY 4,700. Notably, the X200 Pro mini was not globally released, with international markets receiving the X200 FE.

Comprehensive reviews of the vivo X300 and X300 Pro, including a hands-on assessment of the X300 Pro Photography Kit, are available. Details regarding OriginOS 6 have also been released.
