Flagship ANC for $50? QCY H3S Headphones Tested: Affordable Silence!

QCY Introduces H3S Over-Ear Headphones: Flagship Features at an Accessible Price Point
QCY has launched its new flagship over-ear headphones, the H3S. The design aesthetic draws inspiration from the Sony WH1000 series, aiming to provide a high-end listening experience with advanced features at a competitive price point.
The QCY H3S headphones incorporate adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC), rated at -56 dB, facilitated by a seven-microphone array. Company testing indicates noise reduction of up to 92% in subway environments and 85% reduction of background chatter. For voice calls, three anti-wind microphones are integrated, enhancing clarity by up to 80%.
Audio reproduction is handled by dual drivers, comprised of a 40 mm titanium-coated diaphragm for mid-range and bass frequencies and a 13 mm tweeter for high-frequency clarity.
Weighing 240g, the H3S are designed for prolonged comfort. The earcups feature protein-leather cushioning, offering rotation and foldability for convenient storage. An IPX5 water-resistance rating adds durability for various environmental conditions.
Battery life is a key highlight, with the manufacturer claiming up to 102 hours of playback without ANC enabled, and 58 hours with ANC activated. Rapid charging is supported; a 10-minute charge provides up to 7 hours of use.
Connectivity features include Bluetooth 6.0 with dual-device pairing, enabling seamless switching between devices. A wired Type-C connection is also provided. The H3S are Hi-Res Audio certified and support LDAC codec.
The QCY H3S are available in Black, White, and Gray via the QCY official webstore and Amazon, with a retail price of $50.
While the accompanying application presents some complexities in the user interface and localization, the overall performance of the headphones is considered competitive with higher-priced alternatives.
