Nothing’s budget phone: Phone (3a) Lite arrives to entry-level market.

Nothing has announced the launch of the Phone (3a) Lite, marking its initial foray into the entry-level smartphone market within its core product line. This marks a strategic expansion, complementing the existing CMF brand offerings in the affordable smartphone segment.

A comparative analysis of specifications reveals notable similarities between the Phone (3a) Lite and the CMF Phone 2 Pro. The primary distinction lies in the omission of a dedicated telephoto camera on the Phone (3a) Lite. The device maintains Nothing’s characteristic transparent glass back design and incorporates a single Glyph light for notification alerts.

The Phone (3a) Lite features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel delivers a typical brightness of 800 nits and a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. Protection is provided by Panda Glass, and the device incorporates an optical fingerprint scanner, along with a 16MP front-facing camera.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM. Storage options extend up to 256GB, expandable via a microSD card slot.

The rear camera configuration includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 24mm equivalent focal length, complemented by an 8MP ultrawide lens (15mm equivalent) and a 2MP macro camera. The Phone (3a) Lite operates on Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15. The manufacturer has committed to providing three major Android updates and six years of security updates. The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W charging.
